aastal Stockholmis Asta ja Kalju<BR>Lepiku peres. Aino Lepik on lõpetanud Stockholmi Eesti algkooli ning<BR>Stockholmi Prantsuse gümnaasiumi. Ta on õppinud Inglismaal Surrey ülikoolis<BR>ning lõpetanud Stockholmi ülikooli õigusteaduskonna 1987. aastal. Aastatel<BR>1987 - 1990 töötas Aino Lepik juristina Örebro halduskohtus ning 1990 - 1992<BR>prokurörina Stockholmi prokuratuuris. 1993 - 1994 töötas Aino Lepik<BR>Vabariigi Valitsuse õigusnõunikuna, aastatel 1994 - 1997 Välisministeeriumi<BR>juriidilise osakonna inimõiguste büroo juhatajana ning aastatel 1997 - 1999<BR>Välisministeeriumi juriidilise osakonna peadirektorina.<BR>Riigisekretär 25. märtsist 1999 kuni 8. augustini 2003.<BR>Alates augustist 2003 on Aino Lepik Eesti Vabariigi erakorraline ja<BR>täievoliline suursaadik Portugali Vabariigis.<BR><BR>Aino Lepik kuulus kohtuministrina Eesti Vabariigi Valitsuse eksiilis<BR>viimasesse koosseisu. 1994 - 1999 oli ta Eesti esindaja Euroopa Nõukogu<BR>rassismi ja võõravaenulikkuse komisjonis (ECRI) ning 1997 - 1999 Eesti<BR>esindaja Euroopa Nõukogu Inimõiguste Komisjonis. Aino Lepik on Stockholmis<BR>asuva Balti Arhiivi juhatuse esimees ning EÜS Põhjala liige. Abielus Jorma<BR>von Wiréniga (s. 1954). Peres kasvab kaks last - poeg Illimar (s. 1989) ja<BR>tütar Mari (s. 1998).<BR>Aino Lepikut on autasustatud järgmiste teenetemärkidega: Riigivapi<BR>teenetemärgi III klass, Eesti Kaitseväe eriteenete rist, Kreeka Vabariigi<BR>Phoenix orden (Grand Commander of the Order of the Phoenix), Saksamaa<BR>Liitvabariigi Teeneteordeni Suur Teeneteristi tähe ja õlapaelaga, Malta<BR>Vabariigi Teeneteorden (Companion with Breast Star of the National Order of<BR>Merit), Soome Lõvi Rüütelkonna suurrist, Poola Vabariigi Teeneteordeni<BR>Komandöririst tähega, Norra Kuningliku Teeneteordeni suurrist ja Portugali<BR>Vabariigi Teeneteordeni suurrist.<BR><BR>Uno Veering<BR>1995-1999<BR>Uno Veering sündis 27. oktoobril 1949 Harjumaal. 1978. aastal lõpetas ta<BR>kiitusega Tartu Ülikooli õigusteaduskonna, misjärel on töötanud Tallinna<BR>Linna Täitevkomitees juristina, osakonnajuhatajana ja täitevkomitee<BR>sekretärina; Ülemnõukogu Presiidiumis juriidilise osakonna juhatajana, Harju<BR>abimaavanemana, riigiministrina (1992. aastal), Eesti Sotsiaalpanga juhatuse<BR>aseesimehena ning Tallinna abilinnapeana.<BR><BR>Riigisekretär alates 18. aprillist 1995 kuni 24.märtsini 1999.<BR>Praegu töötab ta Keskkonnaministeeriumi asekantslerina. Uno Veering on<BR>Tallinn-Eesti I Lions klubi liige. Vabal ajal tegeleb tervisespordiga ning<BR>huvitub kirjandusest ja kujutavast kunstist. Abielus on Uno Veering alates<BR>1976. aastast. Abikaasa Leili Veering töötab Tallinna Linnavalitsuses<BR>juristina. Peres on kaks poega.<BR><BR>Seoses riigivisiitidega on Uno Veeringut autasustatud Rootsi Kuningliku<BR>Põhjatäheordeni 1. järguga, Soome Lõvi ordeni suurristiga ning Norra<BR>Kuningriigi ordeniga.<BR><BR>Ülo Kaevats<BR>1992-1995<BR>Ülo Kaevats sündis 29. septembril 1947. a. Hiiumaal, Kassaris. 1972. aastal<BR>lõpetas ta Tartu Riikliku Ülikooli füüsiku-teoreetikuna ja<BR>individuaalprogrammi alusel teadusfilosoofina. Ülo Kaevats on töötanud Eesti<BR>NSV Teaduste Akadeemia Ajaloo Instituudi teaduri ja filosoofia sektori<BR>juhataja kohusetäitjana (1973-1981), Teaduste Akadeemia filosoofiakateedri<BR>dotsendina (1981-1989) ja Eesti Entsüklopeedia peatoimetajana (1989-1992;<BR>1995-2000).<BR><BR>Riigisekretär 20. oktoobrist 1992 kuni 18. aprillini 1995.<BR>Sel ajal juhtis ta Eesti Informaatikanõukogu, Heraldikanõukogu ja<BR>Teenetemärkide Komitee tööd. Alates 1999. aastast töötab Ülo Kaevats<BR>Tallinna Tehnikaülikooli professori ja filosoofia õppetooli juhatajana. Ülo<BR>Kaevats on üle saja publikatsiooni autor ja mitme raamatu koostaja, ta on<BR>juhtinud paljude teatmeteoste koostamist.<BR><BR>Ülo Kaevats oli 1988-1990 Eestimaa rahvarinde programmikomitee ja aukohtu<BR>esimees, osales Rahvarinde I eestseisuse töös. 1995-2000 oli ta Tartu<BR>Ülikooli Kuratooriumi esimees, aastast 1995 on Ülo Kaevats Eesti Teadlaste<BR>Liidu juhatuse liige. Vultmann) peres ning suri 27. oktoobril 1990 Stockholmis. Mart Maandi<BR>(1870- suri asumisel 1952) ja Mari Maandi (1874-) koos teise poja Arnoldi<BR>(1914-) abikaasa ja selle kahe tütrega küüditati märtsis 1949 Novosibirski<BR>oblastisse (vabanesid 1958). Eesti<BR>Rahvusnõukogu asutajaid ja peasekretär 1947-1951, kuulus Eesti Komitee<BR>asemikekogusse (a-ni 1953), Eesti Rahvusfondi esinduskogusse, oli Eesti<BR>Laenu-Hoiu Ühisuse juhatuse liige.<BR><BR><BR>Karl Johannes Terras<BR>1920-1940<BR>Karl Johannes Terras sündis 9. septembril 1890. a. Vaivara vallas<BR>taluomanikust vallakirjutaja Aleksandri ja Marie (s. Säkk) Terrase pojana.<BR><BR>Terras õppis Vaivara kihelkonnakoolis, Bolotovi ettevalmistuskoolis ning<BR>Narva gümnaasiumis. 1916. aastal lõpetas Terras Peterburi ülikooli<BR>õigusteaduskonna. 1917. a. lõpetas ta kahurväekooli lipnikuna. 1916-1918<BR>Vene, 1918-1919 Eesti sõjaväe teenistuses. Korraldas 1918. a. Kaitseliidu<BR>moodustamist Virumaal, oli 1918-1920 Sõjaministeeriumi juriskonsult ning<BR>kodifikatsiooniosakonna ülem.<BR><BR>1920. aastal sai Karl Johannes Terrasest valitsuse asjadevalitseja. 1921.<BR>aastal muudeti see ametikoht riigisekretäri ametikohaks, millel Terras<BR>töötas 1940. aastani olles ainus kõrgem riigiametnik, kes püsis oma<BR>ametikohal omariikluse kaks aastakümmet.<BR><BR>Terras oli 1927-1940 Kaitseliidu Toompea malevkonna pealik, ta korraldas<BR>1934-1940 Eesti Spordi Keskliidu esimehena spordielu. Kuulus 1936. a.<BR>põhiseaduse koostamise komisjoni, esindas 1937. a. riigivanemat ja valitsust<BR>Rahvuskogu komisjonides põhiseaduse projekti läbivaatamisel, nimetati 1938.<BR>a. Riiginõukogu liikmeks.<BR><BR>Terras kuulus Estonia teatriseltsi juhatusse, oli EÜS Põhjala liige ning<BR>muusikaseltsi Edu auliige, V klassi Kotkaristi kavaler.<BR><BR>Abielus Alide Grassiga, poeg Aleksander (s. 1920).<BR><BR>Karl Johannes Terras arreteeriti Nõukogude okupatsioonivõimude poolt 7.<BR>jaanuaril 1941. a. ning ta suri 25. veebruaril 1942. a. Kirovi vangilaagris.<BR><BR>Theodor Andreas Käärik<BR>1918-1920<BR>Theodor Andreas Käärik sündis 10. novembril 1889. aastal Viljandi valla<BR>Karksi külas kooliõpetaja Andrese ja tema abikaasa Leena pojana. Hariduse<BR>omandas ta Pärnu gümnaasiumis (1905-1910), Moskva Ülikooli õigusteaduskonnas<BR>(1910-1911 ja 1912-1914) ja Peterburi Ülikooli õigusteaduskonnas<BR>(1916-1917). Juba 1917. aastal oli ta töötanud Eesti Rahvuskongressi Eesti<BR>Ajutise Maavalituse rahandusosakonna sekretärina.<BR><BR>11. novembril 1918, samal päeval kui võim Tallinnas läks üle Ajutisele<BR>Valitsusele, loodi ka Riigikantselei eelkäija Ajutise Valitsuse Kantselei.<BR>Esimeseks ametisse nimetatud asjadevalitseja kohusetäitjaks sai Theodor<BR>Käärik. 12. novembrist 1918 kuni 18. novembrini 1919 oli Käärik Ajutise<BR>Valitsuse asjadevalitseja, kust vabastati seoses Asutava Kogu liikmeks<BR>valimisega. Pärast seda, kui aprillis 1919 oli kokku kutsutud Asutav Kogu ja<BR>ametisse kutsutud valitsus, nimetati Ajutise Valitsuse Kantselei ümber<BR>Vabariigi Valitsuse Kantseleiks. 21. detsembril 1920, seoses Põhiseaduse<BR>jõustumisega, nimetati asutus Riigikantseleiks ning asjadevalitseja<BR>riigisekretäriks.<BR><BR>Aastatel 1920-1923 töötas Käärik tollel ajal erakordselt vastutusrikkal<BR>Riigikassa Peavalituse juhataja ametikohal. Käärikut võib seega pidada Eesti<BR>üheks informeeritumaks isikuks Eesti Vabariigi algusaastatel. Alates 1923.<BR>aastast kuni surmani 1940. a. töötas Käärik Riigi Trükikoja juhatajana.<BR>Theodor Käärik oli EÜS Põhjala liige ning kuulus Tööerakonda.
